Majority of the time, our actions are determined by our self-concepts which defines our beliefs, values, assumptions, priorities, concepts of ourselves and other things, morals, ethics, and standards.
These elements of our self-concepts are built right from childhood from our environment, biological factors, individual experiences, the nature of parenting we underwent, societal standards, tradition, religious principles of our families, and educational background.
